20mm scale fits snuggly between the vast quantity of tiny 15mm troops and the much more detailed 28mm. You get a great compromise of both 15mm and 28mm – small enough to allow for large sprawling games, but still meaty enough to be able to hold great detail in individual miniatures. This is the default scale, if there is such a thing, for Battlegroup rules.
