Photos of Bath, Somerset

Here are a few pictures taken today in Bath, Somerset. Most of the original photos were of friends and not architectural or floral, hence only a tiny gallery today.

Bath is such a lovely place and contains some stunning buildings, I’ll definitely be returning to capture a bit of the history on film.

Spring time in Lydiard Park

Spring time in Lydiard Park

With the 6 month UK winter finally looking like its on its way out, I managed to spend a bit of this evening wondering around Lydiard park as the warm sun was setting.

Taking my new camera for a spin and seeing what I could snap, I did the same exercise a few months ago, same place, just a lot colder.

I was shooting on AV mostly, with a Canon 55-250mm IS lens on my Canon 550D.

Lots to learn regarding capturing the naturally light settings, but hopefully will continue to pick up some pointers.

Any advice, please drop me a comment below.

Hope you liked them

Photography of Chateaux and Vineyards in France

Today as I played with my new Canon 550D, I stumbled across some photos from a holiday in France back in 2011.

Mostly photos of architecture, all shot on my old Canon PowerShot A495.

Sadly I didn’t realise when I was taking them, that the datestamp was being added to every photo. What an annoying feature! So I had to go through all these photos and remove the dates in Photoshop… what a pain.

Here are some of the best I think.

I’ve just uploaded a little comparison to show some of these photos before and after post-processing.

As always, any feedback to help me take better photos would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks for reading… well, looking. Whatever, thanks!
