Spring Sunset

Spring Sunset

Some photos I took from Broad Town (Wiltshire) as the sun begun setting over Royal Wootton Bassett and Swindon.

Shot with both a 55-250mm Canon lens and a Sigma  18-50, on a 550D

Last nights full moon, as captured from the middle of Swindon on my 550D and 250MM lens.

Strangely enough I actually much prefer the half moon I captured earlier in the month,  where you can only see 50% of the moon. I think the half moon is a better picture because the way the light causes large shadows upon the moons surface, highlighting the craters and ridges.

Last nights moon, a full moon, was in comparison quite featureless.

Also shooting from the middle of Swindon, I wonder if the Moons slight colouring is due to our wonderful network of orange street lights we have.

Photos of Bath, Somerset

Photos of Bath, Somerset

Here are a few pictures taken today in Bath, Somerset. Most of the original photos were of friends and not architectural or floral, hence only a tiny gallery today.

Bath is such a lovely place and contains some stunning buildings, I’ll definitely be returning to capture a bit of the history on film.

Spring time in Lydiard Park

Spring time in Lydiard Park

With the 6 month UK winter finally looking like its on its way out, I managed to spend a bit of this evening wondering around Lydiard park as the warm sun was setting.

Taking my new camera for a spin and seeing what I could snap, I did the same exercise a few months ago, same place, just a lot colder.

I was shooting on AV mostly, with a Canon 55-250mm IS lens on my Canon 550D.

Lots to learn regarding capturing the naturally light settings, but hopefully will continue to pick up some pointers.

Any advice, please drop me a comment below.
